The goal of the Duke Energy Innovation Center Dry Lab was to create a research laboratory for lithium batteries that has no more than 2% humidity.
To achieve 2% humidity, the design team had to essentially design a small building inside of the existing building, the dry lab had to be ‘capped’ and sealed on all sides to prevent any air leakage in or out of the lab.
Though this is a small space, there was a high level of design and coordination between Radium, the mechanical engineer, and the electrical engineer.
